Hi, I am Bhushan Sabnis,

After gaining sufficient experience in my chosen field of Knee Surgery and Orthopaedics in general in UK, I have now settled down in Mumbai, India. I am still maintaining a connection with UK, where I am a visiting Surgeon and faculty at various courses.

I completed my MS in Orthopaedics from Armed Forces' Medical College, Pune in 2002. I was Pune University topper and also received the prestigious 'Brig KD Khare Gold Medal' for academic excellence. Realising the need for superspecialisation, I pursued further Orthoapedic training in UK followed by fellowships in my special interest - the Knee joint.

I specialise in partial- Unicompartmental knee replacements (medial, lateral and patellofemoral), Bicompartmetnal knee replacements, Primary Total Knee Replacements and also in Revision Knee Replacements, Knee ligament surgeries including ACL repairs, ‘All Inside’ ACL and PCL reconstructions, Percutaneous PLC reconstruction, LCL/ MCL reconstruction and internal bracing techniques, meniscal implants and transplants and cartilage regeneration procedures to name a few. Conservative knee surgery is in resurgence and I have an excellent experience in Realignment Osteotomies around the knee having done the fellowship from Basingstoke, UK, one of the biggest centers for osteotomies. Apart from knee, I also perform hip surgeries such as Total Hip Replacements and Ankle surgeries such as ligament reconstructions around ankle in sportsmen/ women.

I am available at SportsMed clinic, Global Hospital, Sir HN Hospital and Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai as a Consultant lower limb and Specialist Knee Surgeon. I am a sportsman myself and understand the need of staying active.

I can help you in getting over your lower limb issues, whether you are an athlete, a weekend warrior or a regular non sporty person. Lets see if we can together solve your problem and give you an active pain-free life.
